1. Lesson Punctuality
1.1 All lessons will commence promptly at the scheduled start time, regardless of whether all students have joined.
1.2 If a tutor is late, the lesson will overrun for the equivalent number of minutes that the tutor is late for. If a student is unable to attend the lesson for the duration of the extension, the prorated fee for the minutes of a class, rounded up, extended will be refunded to students at the end of the calendar month.
1.3 If a tutor faces technical difficulties, the lesson will overrun for the equivalent number of minutes that the tutor takes to resolve the technical difficulties. If a student is unable to attend the lesson for the duration of the extension, the prorated fee for the minutes of a class, rounded up, extended will be refunded to students at the end of the calendar month.
2. Late Attendance
2.1 No make-up lesson will be provided for late arrivals unless the student can provide a valid and acceptable reason for their tardiness.
2.2 A valid and acceptable reason only includes the following: death or serious injury to a family member, sickness such as fever, sickness and flu. A valid and acceptable reason must be notified to the Company before the start of the lesson, if not, it will be void.
2.3 If a student wishes to attend an additional class for the same lesson, they are permitted to do so by informing the Company; the additional lesson will be billed in addition to the original class.
3. Registration and Payment
3.1 Monthly payment will be made at the start of each calendar month or upon receipt of the invoice whichever is later.
3.2 The full month’s fees will be due on the 1st of each calendar month.
3.3 Payment details and schedules will be communicated upon registration.
3.4 A deposit of one month’s payment will be due to Tutorship after a student has registered under Tutorship. This deposit will be refunded 30 days after termination of Tutorship’s services, such as in the case where a student withdraws from lessons.
3.5 If a student wishes to withdraw from lessons, a one month advance notice in the form of an email must be sent to team@tutorship.sg. For instance, if a student wishes to withdraw from classes on 1 July, the notice to withdraw must be given before 1 June.
3.6 No refunds will be given for failure to attend any of the lessons. The full month's payment will be due and billable as long as the student is a student under Tutorship.
3.7 For the first month, the fees payable to Company will also be prorated according to the week that they have joined.
3.8 Late payment that has yet to be paid following the due date will be subjected to the following: suspension of student from attending lessons, warnings and legal action.
3.9 Failure to make payment on time after a grace period of 3 days will incur a 5% interest, compounded simply, on the total sum.
3.10 If payment systems are down, the deadline will be extended according to Tutorship’s discretion.
3.11 Permission for late payment must be conveyed one week prior to the due date and the maximum extension given will be one week following the due date.
4. Conduct and Respect
4.1 Students are expected to treat tutors and fellow students with respect at all times.
4.2 Disruptive behaviour, harassment, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated, and the tuition agency reserves the right to take appropriate action, including a non-refunded termination of services and removal of the student from the class.
5. Technical Requirements
5.1 Students are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary technical requirements, including a stable internet connection and appropriate devices, to participate in virtual classes.
5.2 Tutorship is not liable for any technical issues on the student’s end that may disrupt the learning experience.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 All course materials, including but not limited to notes, presentations, and recordings, are the intellectual property of Tutorship.
6.2 Unauthorised distribution or reproduction of such materials is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted under Singapore intellectual property laws.
7 Changes to Schedule
7.1 The tuition agency reserves the right to make changes to the schedule, including class timings and instructor assignments. Any changes to the schedule will be communicated 24 hours in advance.
7.2 If a student wishes to join another class, he or she must communicate this 24 hours in advance before the original scheduled class.
8. Termination of Services:
8.1 The tuition agency reserves the right to terminate services without refund for any student without indemnifying any parties whatsoever who violates the terms and conditions or engages in behaviour deemed manifestly disruptive by the tutor.
9. Governing Law:
9.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes will be resolved in accordance with these laws.
9.2 Any ambiguities will be resolved in favour of Tutorship.
9.3 Tutorship will not be liable for any damages or destruction, physical or not, for any reason whatsoever at any point of time.
9.4 All signing parties agree that an online signature will be taken as a valid signature.

The tuition agency reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions as needed. Any changes will be communicated to registered students at the time of the propagation.
